('09 Trip #3) Mt. Rainier

Went to Rainier over the weekend, took friday off. Hiked to the Palisades friday morning. Then up the Burroughs trail and beyond to Walther Glacier saturday. Was attacked by a rogue chipmunk/squirrel half-breed day-walker....

The elevation of the lodge is 6400' I think, I know at one point i heard a guy near me say 7200' at the first burroughs mountain, then it gets a little higher at the second and then to where we stopped at the end of the trail was i would say close to 7600'-7800'.... but that's a guess....:eeek:

EDIT: Here is kind of a map of where we went. we hiked out to where the "B" is on Burroughs mountain... the Winthrop glacier is the one in the last few pics, and the lake is Mystic Lake on the wonderland trail.
