85 4runner steering column problems...I think

??? Honestly that's my guess something in the column or maybe it the joint after it comes thru the firewall is raising hell when you turn the wheel, at first thought is was the pump so I replaced it but still does it running or off and you can feel the column when its making the noise and its kinda feels like something dragging in there I dunno anyone else ever had this problem. I've never had a column go out before so not 100% its that just looking for some input or suggestions

I would go with the rag joint being bad before the column but it could happen. I'd check that out first.

Rag joint's fine, its in the column or some thing really close to it you can hear it coming from that area sparyed the firewall joint joint with 40 still the same thing fixing to pull steering wheel and shroud behind it and see what else I can find that might be causing it
