Any FJ Cruiser owners/wheelers out there?

I think it would resale better than fawkin yellow or blue! There's only 5 choices in the year model(s) I'm looking at, blue, yellow, silver, black, and the black cherry. Silver just looks somewhat boring to me, but if I found the right deal on a silver one, I would not hesitate to buy. Really looking for either color equally as much.

Re:

I've found several I would go buy this weekend but they are either blue, yellow, or manual tranny. Burns me up. Instead, I reckon I'll go to the casino this weekend....maybe I'll hit a jackpot and win a new Corvette or something.....haha

I like blue & tan.... btw, that color is the one people were giving you **** about being purple that we saw at Stoney
I realized that later. I like the tan and solid white too, but I don't think they were available in 07-08. Those are the ones in my price range, so silver or black cherry are my options pretty much.

Re:

I absolutely despise blue, can't remember the last blue vehicle I owned. If blue was the only color available in the FJ's, I literally would look for a different vehicle.

I have scoured the market looking at all different types of vehicles. If I weren't interested in FJ's, I really don't know what I would get. 4runners and Sequoias are on the list for potential, but the appeal is still low....the interest with those two is really based more around I am a hardcore Toyota fan for their obvious reliability and always have been. A double cab 05+ Tacoma would be nice but them bitches are higher than giraffe ***** and not as capable offroad as the fj, mainly due to the longer wheelbase and long rear overhang from the bed. 07+ gm half tons would def be on the list for a daily driver, but would never take one to an offroad park. And I just can't get on the Jeep bandwagon at all. Never been much of a Jeep fan. I guess that's why I like the FJ's so much, they are like the Wrangler of Toyotas where mild capability meets much better reliability and still maintains a good resale value.

Not sure how far your willing to drive. But on Craigslist, Charlotte North Carolina, there is a solid white 2011 sport edition for $13,900.
Link? Probably has 200k miles or in damn rough shape! Or 2wd or something.

I know one thing, there are very few for sale by private owners. Gonna suck if I have to buy one from a dealer and have to pay full sales tax since they have to collect it. No fudging the price on the BOS to pay less sales tax at the tag office. Found one in Birmingham I may try to stop and look at Saturday on the way to the casino, but not 100% on it. It's super clean and loaded with all the options available minus TRD package, but it has 135k miles. Which really isn't much on a Toyota, it's just principle of what the miles would be after I drove it a few years. It's a little cheaper of course, too. Priced at $15,900, so maybe I could get em down close to $15k and pocket a little extra over what I sold my truck for.

Hell I've tried to post the link, every time it post and link. Piece of **** phone.

Lol, dude, that one is fake/scam listing. It is listed on the CL regions down here in AL too molaugh

An '11 model with 42k miles loaded out would be nearing $30k

Then there is this blue one with a rebuilt title for $13k....but blue is out and rebuilt title sure as hell is out.

There is definitely a whole lot more from private sellers that are priced right on the Charlotte Craigslist! I may be making a long trip to find the right one. Wouldn't be the first time. Drove to Ashland, OH 610 miles to buy my old gold SAS'd Tacoma, and drove it 610 back home! All in one day! I'd drive farther for a Toyota than I would *****!

Think they came out in like 12 or 13, too expensive for me. Talking to a guy in east GA about a super clean silver one. It has 135k miles also but is a private owner, new A/T tires, all the options, etc., for $15k. Gotta smoke it over for a bit.

That one looks like a good catch. Miles don't mean as much as they used to. All my vehicles have well over 200k... Vehicles are just damn expensive nowadays

He painted each vertical piece of tubing red on the roof rack :wtflol: I told him that meant negative points for me! And he said well $15000 is also nearly $2500 negative points from NADA value too molaugh molaugh molaugh I said good point.

They would fit right in with that red **** on the roof rack!

I think I am gonna pull the trigger on this one. I'll have a little extra cash to put up in savings......... or invest in a better lift. Has rough country lift on it now, probably spacer and spring lift. Glad it's got brand new A/T tires on it though, that's worth a lot. And already has aftermarket radio too. Both things I would buy immediately if I bought one without them. Guess I'll have to paint the gay roof rack, take those tiny ass **** hole lights off the front bumper, take all them gay stickers off, including the TRD stickers......because it ain't no fawking TRD.......and drive the **** out of it!

Bumping this back up. We just picked up this FJ for our son. He has been wanting one for the past couple years.

Having to pull the roof rack on my wife's tomorrow. Apparently they are known to leak where they bolt down. I just put an alternator on it it 80k.

Mines got 161k on it, runs like a champ and looks brand new inside lol. Bought it with 153k from original owner. I still love it minus it being weak pulling my trailer and sxs with 295's on it.
