Best Th 350 Rebuild kit

I know everyone say carry to PTC. But what is the best kit for a transmission. From simmit or Jegs.

I went through jakesperformance. They sell Transtar kits which from what I've heard are pretty good. http://www.jakesperformance.com/rebuild-kits/

Got a seal leaking.

So looking at having a spare on the shelf.

I have used the Transtar kit with good results a few times. It does not include bushings and shims for adjusting end play.

Time you spend that, you could put a couple hundo more and let ptc build it.

And the good thing about PTC building it, they run it on a Dyno to check for all pressures and leaks, that means a lot there, especially the pain in the ass it is to take them in and out.

However, I've been wanting to do a th350 or th400 rebuild just to gain the knowledge.

There is a trans star hub in florence and there parts work very similar to the ones that ptc uses which is in muscle shoals

How much are their kits. Im not sure i havent pulled it out. Its not terrible yet.

Less than 100 and that seal is very common leak bc no one ever changes during rebuild you can get the one seal for a few bucks but not the easiest seal to remove but they make a tool which makes it very easy

No I have a buddy who owns a transmission shop in florence and I always order thur him bc they run him but they have a parts counter there I used to go to before I meet Tim so I know they will sell to the public
