Good question. And that might end up being the case. But I got a smokin deal on a set of gears, that if someone happened to have the right carrier, it will make sense... Otherwise, I'll just resell the gears.I guess ur putting in new gears? Why not just get thick cut gears and use the carrier ya got
Why doesn't that surprise me at all?did you end up with some OEM 4.88 gears or something?
I don't recall aftermarket high pinion gears being that common in thin cut (or maybe I was just never looking for them?)
There should be a bunch of carriers floating around from CUCV front axles, I've scrapped a few... (I know that don't help much now...)
