I want to get some 1 ton axles, but I ran across a set with ball joints, but I really want king pins. Guy is saying to make an offer though... what's it worth, or is it?

front high pinion ball joint 60
35/30 inner/outer axles
4.56 gears open diff.
all brackets have been cutoff

rear ff lp 60
4.56 gears
open diff w/35 spline spiders
all brackets have been cutoff
btf disc brake brackets, needs
rotors and calipers to complete
conversion
tubes are drilled in prep for 35 spl
axles, but i still have the stocks and
spiders to match.

both are ford axles
wouldn't hurt to turn the rotors, has one new caliper, missing the other.
needs new ball joints and whatever brackets you need on it.

asking $1600 for both back in january

x2 on that...
I've seen some HP60 kingpins goin for less than a grand lately...
Just gotta hold out for a deal,,,

are they unit bearing ones?

the only problem that I see with ball joint 60's is the high steer availability and ease
the unit bearings make up for that for ease of axle replacement - especially for comp rigs

Chip you can do way better than that. I know the axles you are looking at, leave them with him. Check with Louis, he got a DEAL on his kingpin 60. Then get a 14 bolt, way cheaper to build than the rear 60. FYI, I am pretty certain that rear 60 he has is one I sold him.

got my '79 HP ford D60 for $1100 shipped to my door....

people are saying ball joints are lasting, bu tat the $ that some people are asking, i woudl simply choose a KP axle...
