I'm headed to Bioko Island In Africa to rebuild a gas turbine and was wondering the best
means os talking to someone back here in the states. Not sure on Internet connections. Any
Help from any of you well traveled people would be much appreciated.

Not much too find on that place. Didn't find a cell company in a limited search nor an iSP. I'd hate for you to have to get a sat phone, they are a little pricey.

I am sure there is Internet somewheres and probably limited cell service too. Skype or a similar program is what I have typically used overseas to stay in contact.

Looks like you are you are going to need plenty of shots and a bubble suit on this trip.

My company was looking at doing work in Liberia in western africa. it was recommended for us to use sat phones.

Where we were headed had internet but no cell coverage. The bad part was that no one could tell use if the internet was consistently available or if they suffered from regular outages. Our only option was sat phones.
