Junkyard Tranny

so i know my transmission is a junkyard tranny but if it is leaking tranny fluid all over the driveway, and i still havent put the driveshaft back on. is there a chance i just need to drop it and replace the front seal? remember i am retarded and was just wondering if that would stop the leak and keep me from having to rebuild it

make sure it isn't the dipstick tube, modulator or the gasket before you go to a bunch of trouble.

'58 leaks two places and I haven't fixed either.

1st the dipstick (Shitty Lokar crap)
2nd around the seal when I have the whole weight of the truck resting on the tranny pan it pooches out and the fluid squeezes by the seal.
