When painting tube work black on a chassis, what kind of paint are people using? Just normal rattle can black or....Hammerite - it is what I had previously used on other chassis. The metal has some rust that I am using a wire wheel to remove.

I just ed used the Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Black Rust Resistant Enamel Spray Paint from lowes... but really I'm lucky I took the time to paint it's not my strong point lol

Rustoleum cans with the "fancy" spray nozzle, it's bigger, fatter and white. The bonus is those cans spray upside down too.

Rustoleum 2X rattle cans.

They seem to work at pretty much any angle, laydown thick, and even gloss dries very quickly.

For my cage I used hammered paint, and regardless of the manufacturer I am lucky to get 2/3'rds out of a can due to high particle counts. Makes for touch up work to really be expensive.

Next cage or work I do won't be hammered finish. It will be Rustoleum 2X semi-gloss.
