With doors closed to see how bright lights are. I like em. Bright as **** to look at, they put out a sufficient amount of photons... 4 ft led's are off on wife's side.

You got 4 bikes? :dunno:
Actually 5 counting little man's dirtbike. Lol. Wife bought herself one, then the little yellow Honda Grom I bought for her to learn on, then I will sell it. The Yamaha Bolt she bought is a little too big for her to learn balance and basic maneuvers in parking lots on, mainly bc she is so short.

My 2nd bike is a Honda NC700X, 6 speed automatic or manual with shift triggers, and I mounted a peg on front frame rail since I cant bend my left knee, and now I am back to being able to tear up the curves again like the old days. I may sell my old cruiser, I never ride it since I got the Honda.

JD, how's the shop coming along?
Bought some heavy duty shelves that came out of a machine shop this weekend, 7' tall. $125 for all 3. I am going to bolt them all together then secure the outside ones to the wall behind so they can't tip over. Still gotta decide on buying vs building a large workbench area. Been preoccupied with motorcycles and getting back into track days to spend much time/money on the shop. Still no garage door openers, but that hasn't been that big of a deal thus far.

Hello. I'm new here and need some help. Finally have my garage/pool build going, only about 4 years behind schedule. Better late than never! It is roughly 36x38, 2 12' wide 10' tall garage doors, 2 story, half bath downstairs, full bath up, heated/cooled upstairs and downstairs. Went 12'6" ceilings so I could install a lift. Ceiling is going to be sheetrock over (under?) 12" wood I joists (which make up the upstairs floor system). I need some LED lights for downstairs. Recommendations? Electrician is coming next week.

Led lights are the definitely the way to go. For a garage like yours i would think some two bulb strip lights would work well. The question comes down to what your layout is on the shop floor as to how many you need. I did the math based on the info given with my lights for spread vs lumens at my ceiling height then tried to account for any thing like a lift or tool location that would create shadows. I still have a few but i was able to go with 8 LED warehouse style lights in my 60x40 shop. My eaves are at 12' so my lights are around 14'. You cannot look up at the ceiling but plenty of light otherwise.

If this rain will ever quit I'm getting a 30x50 with 12 foot ceiling pole barn put up, radiant heat in concrete
Been waiting for 2 months on the guy to do the excavation but it rains every other day, there's a **** load of dirt to move and a new road to build so it needs to be fairly dry. I'm getting very impatient
