An impco 425 is approx 460CFM flow and you will find that there are different opinions about horsepower. It is different for each setup(cam, pistons, stroke, intake, exhaust) you will run out of airflow at the higher RPM's. So depending on what you plan to do, will determine the need for one mixer or two. There is alot of information and many different opinions but i haven't seen any definitive information about the point at which a second mixer is needed my .02 is that if your 383 is north of 400HP then 2 mixers but I am sure someone can chime in here with more information.

Cray, if you are interested I have a dual propane set up for sale, here are the specs:
motor it's installed on 383 stroker 11:1 pistons
dual 425 mixers with dual regulators all Impco brand
instead of using the impco two mixer to single 4 barrel intake it has a dual 4 barrel intake (did this due to height of this set up)
This setup gives at least 900cfm (per specs) not sure of HP this motor makes, but it has to have at least 450-500.
if you are interested send me a PM, you can hear this set up run (still on buggy, I'll take video and send if wanted)
$1200.00 for everything.
