Prototype from Germany (Avalanche)

Hi,

since some time i am following some projects in this forum. I am from Germany and i thought i would also show some pictures of our Offroad Project (no name found yet). Me and my brother (and some friends) are building a car for the class "Prototype" of the german Offroad Championship.

Specs:
2.8l VW VR6
Custom Built Frame
Unimog 411 Axles
Front and rear hydraulic steering PSC
Sway Away 2 inch AirShocks with 14 inch travel
Landrover HD Driveshafts

The Axles where used in the Unimog 411.

Maintainable only for lubrication via the lubrication nipple

How in the hell are y'all able to make that bender work without kinking the tube?

We also have a smaller tube bender which was not working good. This one is just great. For example we used it to make the B-Pillar out of one piece of tube.

Post up some pictures of those hot German chick's yall got over there posing on this thing when it's all done.

I borrowed one of those benders befor I owned a bender, the dies sucked and it bent like **** , someone reworked the 1.5 diameter tube die by a sleaving the die with a piece of 1.75 dom tube bent and cut in half, that bent great and didn't kink it at all, the rest of the dies kinked and looked like ****

We mostly use tube kinkers here in europe.

The secret is to have a good set of dies. I assure you with accurate dies the tube doesn't kink at all.

Completed the front side structure and made brackets for the AirShocks. We like the look of the front
