Hi,

since some time i am following some projects in this forum. I am from Germany and i thought i would also show some pictures of our Offroad Project (no name found yet). Me and my brother (and some friends) are building a car for the class "Prototype" of the german Offroad Championship.

Nice looking build. It's cool seeing fab work from outside the US.

Is that rose joint serviceable? rebuild-able?

Maintainable only for lubrication via the lubrication nipple

How in the hell are y'all able to make that bender work without kinking the tube?

We also have a smaller tube bender which was not working good. This one is just great. For example we used it to make the B-Pillar out of one piece of tube.

Thank you all for your replies. I will try to upload some more pictures soon.
 
I borrowed one of those benders befor I owned a bender, the dies sucked and it bent like **** , someone reworked the 1.5 diameter tube die by a sleaving the die with a piece of 1.75 dom tube bent and cut in half, that bent great and didn't kink it at all, the rest of the dies kinked and looked like ****
 
We mostly use tube kinkers here in europe.

The secret is to have a good set of dies. I assure you with accurate dies the tube doesn't kink at all.
