Slab Run Report Nov. 08 2008

A few of us went out to the slab today.

We started our fun at flex canyon

It was a great day, minimal body damage for most.

Yakima Valley Truck Club -
Slab Run
November 8th, 2008

On Saturday November 8th, 2008 the Yakima Valley Truck Club had a run at the Slab ORV Area near Buena, Washington. I got there about two hours late. I missed most of the fun in Flex Canyon. Here are some pictures I took of the run.

The top of this hill was loose.

I came close to flopping my XJ off the top of the trail to the left of Dirty Bill.

Fish came close to flopping off the top of Roll Over Hill.

Dirty Bill nose dived his rig and had parts flying.

As we left, we found out the traffic was backed up down town Buena.

This was a fun run thanks to the people who came out.

We don't do too many Sunday Runs if we aren't camped for the weekend. We do have a Sunday Snow run in December to take the kids up sledding. The trail isn't to far from Yakima. Let me know if you want to go and I will get you the info.

I am currently reworking some stuff on my rig shooting for new years to be runnig again. But I may even be longer than that.

I hope you can make it out, President's day run is HUGE. This year I'm guessing there will be close to 100 trucks.

Everyone parks and watches each other one by one go through flex canyon

and then we make our way across the land, usually taking a couple different routes, the fun way and one for the stock(ish) trucks

It's a good time, hope to see you there!

We normally do this run on the weekend of President's Day but this year it is a week later. The PNW4WDA Winter convention is in Yakima on the day we would normally have the Slab run. Some of our members are in the PNW4WDA and can

I dont think you have thought about taking your truck anywhere in the past 2yrs. The gas in that thing is probably so old you could use it to lacquer a picnic table.:flipoff:

pfftt...THAT truck's been out of gas for quite some time

i meant ANY type of truck. that area is pretty small. i hardly even like taking the quad out there. i like to explore. i get bored somewhat quickly...
