I have decided to post my build in hopes it will help somebody else with their project.
I've been on a tight budget from the get go!
First I found a base truck. Think I'll keep the stripe!

$700 for a running truck was pretty good, I thought!

This was a northern truck and was just before going to the scrap yard!

I wanted 4 link and tires large enough to clear most any obstacle on our local trails. I started searching the web and Hardline for inspiration!

I started cutting the cancer away in a manner to keep good structural components and keeping in mind 1.75" DOM would also be applied.
Purchased 3/4" hiems due to cost and since they are what's used in top fuel dragsters, thought it would be a start anyway. I fabricated my link brackets from 3/8 plate. Wanted to shoot for around 110" wheel base.

Ride height will be a little lower. How u mean?
Link angles need to be more parallel to the ground. They look pretty steep.

Should've started with the red Sammy in the background :woot:

yes what he said at that angle it will unload an u wount have much pressur to the ground if u would like i will run the numbers for ya just hate to seee people going down the same roads as i did

whats wheelbase and belly height do you have it set at. for four link calc you need link length, height from ground to axle link and ground to chassis height for front uppers and lowers and rear uppers and lowers... low and stable within reason is the way to go imho... unless your mud boggin your rig more than trail riding.

You may want to consider building while the Sammi is at ride height. You may be able to see issues while building that won't surface until you lower it to ride height from current build height.

Based on that picture, it looks like your belly is level with the top of the rims. If those are 15" beadlocks and 40" tires, looks like you're well above your 18" belly ride height.

sorry for the delay been busiey give me a call an i will run them after 5 will be the best time 256 200 1731
