• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

This place is dead...

Traction flaps engaged!

You used my power steering belt for traction
Ed is good people. Almost all of you ****ers are. WE need to make more Hardline rides each year. WE are Hardline. No longer can a couple of OGs and wannabees stop that from happening.

Also, Blackbeard, what are the odds you may could make a ride? Bring your mule or your private jet, I don't give a ****, just come down and shake hands with all the miscreants you babysit on a semi regular basis.

There was the only Hardline ride organized every year at Harlan earlier this month.
We even talked about you.

You didn't show up.

My junk won't stay together for a solid day of riding most days. I would have to actually freshen it up & maintain it if I expected it to withstand my stupidity.

I have gotten SO lazy and preoccupied with other things the last few years. Harlan is definitely on my list, but these days I would like to keep trips down to two hours from home or less.

Successfully????
That's a bit of a stretch
Touche' Guess I should say he was the last one to plan a HL Ride (Chocc 2017) in which some of the OG's showed up, the OG's didn't get offended or whatever about a HL ride being sanctioned or not, people from here actually got together to ride/camp/hang out (but no scale squeezing or nutsackery), and even had a min-concert.

he couldn't even use the quote function correctly :rolf:
Also true.

Also true.
I think my wife was about ready to strangle the folks doing the mini concert when they were still going at like 4am, we were camped in the playground so like 20 yards or so away.

Ha I forgot about them playing all night. I put ear plugs in and was out like a light somewhere around 2am. Good times.

The SxS crowd is not going anywhere and in all reality, as much as I don't want to admit it, side by sides and their evolution to what they are now saved the hobby.
Wow, I couldn't disagree more. More like ruined it......to each his own. If you told me the only way I could continue wheeling is via golf cart I'd never wheel again. Part of what makes Green Acres so awesome is the absence of golf carts.

I was referring to their popularity and the amount of them out there help keep the parks open. Haha green acres has rocks the size of a side by side.

I think the sxs market is what is sustaining the hobby even though most dont know what the **** they are doing. Not everyone has the ability to buy a 30k rig but they can pay $500 a month and use affirm to pay monthly and get new tires and big ol wheels. I'll be honest there have been several times I've thought about selling the jeep and the buggy and buying one. Sometimes it looks fun to ride around all day going semi fastish and exploring. I think the gnats are also what is helping keep the parks open as well.

I took saving the hobby/industry the same as the others too. Similar to how the introduction of the 4-door JK is credited with saving Jeep from utter demise in 07-08. Soccer moms started buying them and soccer dads started dropping coins with the aftermarket industry.

100% accurate (in my opinion anyway) that for the majority of parks, SxS's and the combined JK/JL/overlander crowd help keep parks open. They pay full price, ride 4 trails while taking 6,000 pictures for the socialist medias and then go back home.

That same crowd is also helping to keep aftermarket parts companies and installers in business too. Like many other things in life, necessary evil.

Yup. A few friends in town run "truck/jeep/offroad" shops. They went into it because they loved offroad but quickly realized that lift kits and big wheels are what pays the bills. Getting to work on true offroad vehicles or cool cars are what they get to do because of all the 3" lift with 22s.

If you ever go to a "Jeep" event, you will notice how small "we" are in that market. You will see many of the brands there, that we support, and while they prefer our vehicles, they know that we are the minority.

There are some that run true "offroad" companies and parks that can make it work without all the "other stuff". To them, I say congrats, but believe they are the exception, not the rule.

Its kind of like Greg from Fab4. dude has one of the nicest crawlers i've ever seen, but he builds stuff for the jeep guys.

If "we" means the straight, no ducks on the dash, prefers women without dicks type people are the minority youre talking about then agreeeee. Otherwise holla at @5BrothersFabrication

Just my opinion… but the "like" option has considerably cut down on interaction on forums. Especially this one.
Example:
I've posted pics on here where you can see the views. Let's say you get 100 views.
You're going to get 15 likes and 2 comments.
Let's say those 15 likes were comments, that's 15 more chances of interaction to help carry the thread. 15 more chances to make fun of someone or ask a question.
It's just more convenient for a new person or lurker to smash the like instead of typing out "your missing 3 lugnuts, peckerhead" like we did in the old days.
