I tore out my old steering column to replace it with a 3/4 solid rod down to my orbital. I decided to go
With push button start Using my existing column wiring. Its a 90 model chevy 350 tbi. The old wiring is...
Purple- ignition start
Pink-ign coil
Orange- ign switched
Red- battery +
I believe this is correct. Does anyone have a wire diagram to wire this up for my push button?
Just wondering. Thanks

If you just want a simple single toggle and push button,

- put your constant hot (B+) to one pole on the push button, Ignition start to other side

- constant hot to one side of toggle and coil and ign. switched on other side of toggle.

but Im not sure about loading up one toggle switch with coil, fuel pump, etc. might want 2 switches for the coil and Ign. wires.

Im sure theres more thats powered via. the key switch, and you may have already known this

What did you end up doing on this? Im trying to do the same thing but the fuel pump wont power up when i flip the switch for the ign

I had a family crisis occur and havent been able to get back on it. However, my fuel pump is an external holley pump that is on a seperate switch. It works
