Did the C-clip come out and then toss the cap? Mine does that. I ended up welding the caps in. My thoughts are if the U-joint brakes the axle shaft is done anyways. :redneck:

Umm, cap musta just come off as I was parking. It didn't wallow out the hole at all so it's still usable.

As far as I know it was a snap ring on a 760. :eeek:

snap ring, C-clip, Half circle, same thing. Hell I even welded those in too. :redneck:
