Trailer Tie Down Methods (Best Practices)

bringing this back up after what I found this morning:

so I go out this morning to the work truck and walk by the tow rig/ trailer to find this


after further inspection this happed due to the fact that I was running straps over the ramps (you can see what I am talking about in the picture). To be honest I never thought about this being an issue.
I checked the other one that I use on the rear and it was frayed but not broken, needless to say those two will be getting replaced.
I am really glad that I was using two on the rear, two on the front and my winch. Never can be too careful, and a lesson learned for me this morning. Wonder if they will warranty them :-\
Even if it costs me another $50 for straps it will be well worth it, I don't even want to think about what could have happened if that truck came off the trailer.
