Ehh, Id rather have a butterfinger

But what I would really like to know is, my dad bought a buggy its is loosely jeep based, he wants to get a title to be able to drive between trails. Is there a cheap way to get an old salvage jeep title? It has a tj frame.. No vin, no other jeep parts...

He just needs to be able to get plates, I know it will need brake lights and a horn to be street legal..

You also need mirrors in most states, at a minimum the drivers side and rearview, headlights and blinkers. I know that people can usually purchase a title and vin plate from other people that have scrapped a CJ or Waggy that was beyond use. If I was needing a title that is the direction I would go. Otherwise look for the requirements to title a homebuilt dunebuggy. They dont have VIN's.

Yep, just get a title and register it, slap a tag on it and hope for the best.

Oh, and stamp the VIN # off the title somewhere on the frame, just in case.

That was the plan... montana has some pretty lax laws, there is no inspections etc...
