My daughter has a softball tournament at the Calsonic Arena in Shelbyville, TN the weekend of Feb 17th. Where is a good hotel in that area to stay?

What I found looking....

I used to live nearby in chapel hill, never stayed there.
Down road about 30 minutes is Lynchburg TN, home of jack Daniels.

Would be nice place to stay and relax.
Take tour of JD.

Ok thanks. So there's not really any area to stay away from there?

I would love to do the JD tour, just not sure if we'll have time or not. Her tournament is Sat and Sun. As long as they're winning, which I hope they are, they'll play most of the day both days.

Not really bad part, honestly I'd stay towards north end of town....
most places to eat are along the "main drag" thru town.
Great place to eat in little town called "bell buckle" they have cafe there is great!

Nobody else have anything to add? :dunno:

There's a chicken plant there that I've spent a lot of time in.

That's about it.

Oh and horses. Lots of horses

Haha, ok man. Nevermind

If you feel the local motel have jacked the prices because of the tournament, then go about 20 minutes away to Tullahoma. They got a few motels on the Shelbyville side of town.

I live in Shelbyville these are only places I would stay. The micro tell is the newest where I would try to stay. Next would be the best Western. Anything other then these four are just run down scared to sit on the bed type of places.

Coming from Hayden, AL......about 25 miles north of Birmingham. Probably gonma get off the interstate at Ardmore and come through the woods, just for a more scenic drive.

Follow the signs to jack d. It will take you down 64.
Then you can hit hyw 50 to lynchburg. From there you can go 82 to shelbyville or stay straight to tullahoma then on to shelbyville.
If you get rushed I would go from lynchburg to shelbyville on 82. There are some fairly new hotels in tullahoma on the shelbyville side of town you might look into. I can't really recommend anything g around here, never stayed at one
