Wide Open Design build of an Evolution chassis ( WFO )

From on of the flexed pictures you would be correct. The suspension will let on shock bottom out if it was impacted totally on one side while the other side is completely dropped out. But, I set it up to where you get the most amount of up travel possible when the axle is fully compressed. Fully compressed meaning both sides compressed all the way up at the same time. When that happens the air bumps bottom out just be fore the shocks do.

Damn nice buggy guys. I had a chance to rub up on it at the SRRS race and it is top notch.. I knew it would not take long to get the pretty beat off of it with BJ behind the wheel.

Yes they are the aluminum version. I'm not even sure the nodular setup was available when I got them.

Re: Wide Open Design build of an Evolution chassis ( WFO )

It's been great with the exception of the motor running right and that is being addressed right now. The buggy rides great, claims great, comfortable to be in for hours at a time and visibility is excellent. As soon as the new electronics are on the motor and its tuned it should be even more fun.

Fired her back up today with MAST Motorsports engine controls and wiring. Tomorrow is dyno tune day!

Where's the dyno numbers?

Re: Wide Open Design build of an Evolution chassis ( WFO )

It's still on the dyno. Delk Performance squeezed it in to a packed schedule and agreed to dove into the Mast tuning software for their 1st time. Should be done today but we are expecting numbers north of 230hp.
