Pokeys rebuild

Cool jim. are you working much? I need to stop by and hang with ya, its been a while again. Maybe monday. What color are you gonna go with? Is your steering still pink? I think it would look good silver. Are you using that same kind of paint tankota used? what was that stuff called? It should turn out nice. :cheer:

Winter was dead as I had several customers back out on jobs due to the ecomomy:booo: But busy again now which means more money for the jeep :cheer: Home all weekend but working in edgewood next week so close by just give me a call. Jeep is going to be hugger orange and yes there is still some hot pink in there:haha: Yes using a two part poly like I used when I painted Daves cruiser. Tough paint and fairly easy to apply. I used Imiron on his but this is the house brand from Eastwood.

I actualy spent most of the day working on the jeep again.:haha: Summers getting close I need to get my butt in gear:haha:

So I got the radiator mounted up and started in on the fans. Got the shroud/mount made up and just need to pull it all back apart againg to weld some mounting tabs on to the shock hoops to hold it all together. Looks like I will have a whole 1/4" clearance between the one fan and the AC compressor:eeek: Got the diamondplate back on and the drivers side fenderflare. They probably wont last long but the TJ rear flares cover most of the tire (all that street legal jazz):haha:

I pick up my tube for my fender's tomorrow, and I have the two hoods. Now all I need is the fan. We have the same radiators have you ran yours yet?

Nope Hasnt ran since I pulled it from the cj5. That was the biggest Radiator I could find that fits in a flatty. I am using a set of twin flexalite fans. Worked great on the old rig and I like the idea of having two fans so if one pukes theres still a backup. Plus their pretty thin.

Jim-
The lack of pulley clearance is a bit scary. I can easily imagine the flexy frame of the flatty allowing the pulleys to hit the fans when all flexed up.

Yep I know I am hoping to get about another 1/2 by reversing the radiator bracket and taking some meat off of the grill

your running a dj frame right
Yes with 7 extra inches in front
