heading up to evans creek for the day on saturday september 26th. we will be meeting at the fred myers parking lot in bonney lake around 9am. we will wait a little while but we are leaving by 9:30. anyone is more than welcome to come!

yes he was joking. he likes to think his 4runner can do anything :looser: lol

we have a few cherokees a few wranglers and possibly a yota taggin along so everyone is invited

That's the best and most fun way to have, when wheeling Evans! :D

I did the 311 with a bone stock Ranger on worn out 33's. Same with one of my buddies, in his B2300 (Ranger), but his is COMPLETELY stock.

The 311 is pretty easy though.

Nope, wasn't me.

I hope I'm not thread jacking too much, but I got up to Evans about 10:00 Saturday evening, and rode dirtbikes most of today.
Anyway, after I left, my buddy decided to take his Stock Mazda B2300 up the 311 (it has been up it before). A ways before the rock garden, there is a spot we call the "black rocks", it is just a lefthand corner, and it is dug out in a couple spots, and the rock is black. Mike tried going around that corner, and went to high, and... he flopped his junk... I guess it did-in the cab above the rear window pretty good, and the door/ fender/rocker, but that was it, no broken glass or anything. Then he proceeded to break something in the front end (most likely a hub) on the rock garden. I'm gonna go look at it tomorrow, so I might get some pics, lol. It was a pretty straight, clean truck before today...
Early in the day we saw a group of rigs, and my cousin said that the red Cherokee of the group flopped today too. It was straight when we saw it, but one side was toast when it left. It was roll over day at Evans,.

EDIT: the "rock garden" is the last real challenging spot on the lower 311. After, it is basiclaly just road. That is just what Ive call it for my whole 18 years, I know others call it differently.

i didnt know there was a rock garden on the 311? lol

the day was great. we had five rigs the whole day and had a blast. we started at the 311 and ran both sections without trouble. it took a little while to get through section A because we had to wait on a group that was in front of us. after the 311 we ran the 196 and 197. managed to get my cherokee through 197 with no damage whatsoever. then we can the 520 to the rock slide where the silver cherokee busted his rear driveline in half getting a little throttle happy in the rocks. we had lunch there while we figured out a way to get him out. we finished off the 520 and headed out for the day. all in all it was a good trip! i will post up some more pictures when i have time to upload them

I wondered the same thing, he's talking about brakeline hill.

Sounds like you guys had fun. Did you guys just drag him out or come up with a fix for the shaft?

well we just pulled the rear shaft out and put as much fluid in the case as it would hold (since without the shaft in the tcase it loses all its fluid). then he drove out with front wheel drive with some help in a few spots. we stopped periodicly to put more fluid in it but we managed to get it to my house where i had a spare driveshaft. it was successful and the tcase didnt seize up

I love having flanged driveshafts, haha.
It must be a Ford thing! :D Just joking.
I know my front is flanged, and I'm pretty sure my rear is too.
