Ideal tire groover ?

Is a #4 blade about a 1/4 inch?
This is the 250 Watt model and comes with a #4 Solid Brass head and a pack fo #4 blades.
Interchangable head and blades
#4 blade makes a .215" cut

.250 would be 1/4" at least in most measurement standards

If it claims .215", then it'd be approx 3/16" cut (slightly over actually....) close enough to 1/4" IMO...:awesomework:

No, I think pat has one also.

I use a #6... It's about 3/8ths and is about perfect for TSLs 36" and up...

I got a little crazy and ordered a #8 head and blades. Took a lot of meat off already bald tires....

How wide is a #8???

The #6 looks like this on 38.5 SXs...

I believe a #8 is .500.... Yea I got a set of 39.5 Tsl's that 2 of them were about slicks and that's why I bought that big of blades. I grooved the wear bars and the old spaces between each lug and also down the middle between the lugs down to damn near the cords. Went from slick to a decent amount of meat. They're just my snow tires so we'll see how they pan out.
