Well it's time to start working on my truck again. It's a 1980 toyota.
Currently sitting on 34" ltb's with 3" springs open front and rear with a dead 22r.
What im going to do to it over the next few weeks.
5.29's front and rear
lockright rear
diffrent motor
36" iroks
crossover
dual cases
I'm not sure what springs i'm going to run so any input on that or anything else would be great. The goal is to have it done and on the trail by the first of the year.

you should think again about a lockright in the rear... maybe in the front, either a detriot or a spool in the rear. imo you will break that lockright quick.. look at trail-gear or marlin springs.. they flex really good

I've been running a lockright in the rear of my yota with 39's on for about 2 years and its held up great. When I do it again though I will run a spool. Ive seen a lot of flex pictures with the allpro 6" leafs and they look impressive for leafs. If u got the time and skills why not go with coils all the way around?

looks like it should be a good buildup. i would go with marlin or all pro springs also.. they seem to make people happy. or you could get crazy and link it :D

just get some 2wd toyota rear springs from like a mid 90's for the front springs and then for the rear get 63" chevies from a 88-98 2wd (4leaf pack) 4wd works too just cut down the load overload leaf. nice rig btw.. for a rear locker get a spool if anything. i run welded cause im a cheap bastard.

Sounds like the rears and chevys might be a cheap quick way to go. Eventually I would like to link but that wont be for a while. Fedex brought some of my parts. Just need to order hy-steer and some tires.

If I were to do mine again I would go with wagoneer springs for the back and the stock rears in the front. I used 59 inch chevy springs in the back of mine and they do pretty good but I hear the waggys do even better.
