• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

My really slow 4runner build up

I would certainly think so. Even though the winch is rated at 8000. How much do you think it'll take to suck down the front suspension? Maybe a few hundred pounds worth?

I'm talking about using it as a WINCH, to pull the rig out of something. Where it might be subjected to hard shock loads. Not as a suspension sucker.

There is a lot of combined experience on here, sure people probably know more about one thing or another, but there are also a lot of people that think they know one thing or another. I do this for a living, just like the critiqing of my tranny mount, I do this **** for a living, I have a pretty good idea of what work's and what doesn't. Thing's are alot different in the high end fab world than you're every day joe, it's all about pushing the limit's, you make certain sacrifices for certain performance gain's. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, I take most all advice with a grain of salt, though I do read and think about what a person is trying to say, if sometime a good suggestion came up, I would possibly make a change.

Good for you. Do I need to bring up the shock arguement again? :stirpot: :fawkdancesmiley: :;

After viewing the latest work on this vehicle, I will have to politely ask you to cease all future work on my car.

Thank you and have a nice day.

good god, just cause you heard it on pirate doesn't mean it's right.:looser: You think you're the shock guru, let's see who can set a rig up better someday.

btw, I'm not bitter in the least, bring it up, I was right, as were you, if you really think I was wrong you're lack of knowledge show's:fawkdancesmiley:

are you leaving the area under the sun roof open or you have a spreader planned in there? also are you frame mounting or just to the body for now?

It has 2 spreader's from the b pillar cross tube to the front corner's, it will be tied into the frame at the A and B pillar's.
