14 bolt 3 pin carrier

Sounds like a Gov-Lok to me, look for a Detroit.

Big tires & a heavy right foot will break a gov lock. Don't waste your time with it.

You CAN weld a Gov-Lok, but most just swap to a 4-pinion open carrier. I have one that'll work with thick 5.38s if you're unterested. It's a 4.10- open carrier.

I'm running a welded gov lock. So far I haven't had any issues but it may blow up next time out
