14 bolt bearing caps

So I've been looking at an axle with no bearing caps. I've been told by several people that the caps are machined for the axle and they match that certain axle. Can you run bearing caps out of one axle and put them in another axle.

They're line bored when manufactured. So they're technically in pairs as far as side to side and the way they're oriented.

You can get a set and have them line honed to your axle. May cost more then finding a complete axle that you know is correct.

I was confused on how you have a 14 front tubed and then don't have the caps for it as well.

I'm sure that is one of the reasons it hasn't sold.

Especially when u can get one retubed c to c with solid c's for $1500
