I have a 2008 Silverado 3500HD 4x4 with the LMM Duramax. The truck has been meticulously cared for and can be proven with the Carfax report, which show dealer services ever 3-5k miles at the same dealer its entire life. There are no accidents or any other issues at all.
I have all of the service records and receipts for everything I have done. I can provide copies of everything.
This truck is very strong and I use it regularly to haul my aluminum gooseneck and Jeep to offroad events across the country. It has never left me stranded and out pulls awesome. Ran 4400 miles to Moab and back pulling at 26k with zero issues and pulled all the grades with ease! The exhaust brake made ease of the down hill also.
Recently replaced- 4 Rotors (Napa Premium), Pads, Drive shaft U-joints (Spicer life), Drive shaft carrier bearing (Timken), 6 Tires (roughly 6-10k miles on them), New spare tire, Fuel, filter, Rear shocks, transmission service, T-case service.
The rearend was just completely overhauled with new gears and all new seals by East Coast Gear Supply (Chase himself!) ($$$$)
At 198,000 I had diesel addiction bump up the power safely. 4" Exhaust with muffler (keeps it quite), EFI Live with DSP5 position switch, 150hp, Towing, Fuel Economy, stock, and High Idle. Troublesome EGR delete (completely welded), and the DPF delete. I still have all the stock parts to put them back if you want for inspection or anything the like.
The best part of the EFI live is the exhaust braking that kicks in when you put it in tow/haul mode. It is priceless.
These mods increased my fuel milage drastically towing and empty. On the highway I can see about 19.5 and towing 14-15. At 26k to Moab we averaged 11mpg over 4k miles.
Diesel addiction also did a Transgo Jr transmission upgrade and serviced the transmission which makes it safe up to 150hp additional.
I added a PPE extra large cooling transmission pan and rearend pan (700$)
The bumpers, step rails, and bed are all coated with Rhino liner cost over 1000$
This truck has 210k but is flawless mechanically. It needs nothing.
This truck has the best possible combination of parts with the LMM Duramax and 6 speed transmission. Absolute powerhouse, and incredible longevity.
Also, Remote Start, Onstar, Pwr windows and door locks, keyless entry, Rubber floor. NEW flip over ball goose neck.
DUAL Alternator, Cold AC, XM Radio/CD player
My reason for selling, is I just bought a Bus and I will be traveling in it now, I am also selling my aluminum goose neck.
