Just disconnecting the battery will not clear it out.

To clarify the way that reads sounds dangerous as it reads to touch the ground to a hot wire that is still connected to the battery. Disconnect both leads from the battery and touch them together to discharge the capacitors in the pcm.

My tuner modified the LTFT's in my pcm so they refresh more often so this is a non issue on my rig.
