amc 20 disc brake swap

I know its not what I should do, (just swap out axles...) but has anyone done a back yard disc brake swap on an AMC 20? I hear about sami disc and Nissan calipers but would like more info. any help????

I am interested also. I have a 20 on a cj7 I am restoring that has disks from when I bought it. I haven't really looked into it yet but need to know what I have. From what I understand with the addition of one piece shafts they are as strong as a 44. Mine had Sommers Brothers shafts and a Detroit so I decided it was a keeper for a trail and street rig.

I've got a amc20 with one piece shafts and disk brakes with weld on brackets.

I can not get the brown jeep to stop real well. just want to know what parts are used. ive replaced the drums and innards twice but no better......
