Something ain't right, your motor is basically stock correct? I know a lot of guys including myself running a lot more power and stickies and have no where near that kind of breakage and we ain't easy on our stuff. Also please try to learn to use periods, your posts are like stream of consciousness from a special ed kid with severe ADD hopped up on meth and mountain dew.
 
I would say it would be ignorant to not consider the unit bearing to be contributing to failure of the stubs.

Considering that the stub is in tension, and every time you jump or smack a rock it is trying to pull the stub apart. That combined with the short little shaft that is taking 100% of the torque load.

Plus RCVs tendency to NOT properly design splined shafts... They do great on material, CVs, etc, but their shaft design leaves some on the table.

maybe compared to a old mid 70s closed knuckle 60.

So your saying the AAM is twice as strong in the tubes,knuckles and c's than a d60?

We all know what rcv has for sizes... he's asking you what you run. If you weren't so bone headed and actually read the post maybe you would learn a thing or 2. Some of these guys that are commenting are damn smart :****:

I'm just wondering if you feel bad for taking advantage of rcv and their warranty? I know I would after that many breaks.... like I stated in the beginning something is wrong with your junk to be breaking all the time like that.

RCV can deny warranty any time they want I'd assume. They are probably using him for a test bed for broken parts as much as he is using them for free shafts. They can take that broken shaft to a lab and inspect the fracture surface and tell you exactly where, when, and how that shaft started to fail, and how the failure propagated.

If it leads to a better product, then great.


I think that axle would be a legit setup in a smaller/lighter trail rig. BUT I'd hate to be depending on my stub shaft to hold my wheel bearings together.
