Helping my bud build his first rig. It will be stuck together with a stick no fancy tools here besides a homebuilt tube bender. Bout as fancy as it will get and all the new parts going on it.
55 cj5 body. Pro mud chassis that use to house a 572 blower motor for mud racing.
Stock 454 for now with dual 425 propane th400 np208. Dana 60 and 70 and 38" tsls for starters till the 60 gets attention. My bud has a deadline of end of may so work to be done everyday. Nothing special here and no master fabricators. Nothing will be bling bling. A few pics I have but a lot of stuff still in boxes.

The last cj5 I built for a guy, I cut the rear wheel wells back about a foot and filled them back in to give it some leg room, I've always liked the 5's that's the first vehicle I can remember riding in.

My buddy is a slow worker. I'm going to have to put my foot in his ass. Should be some progress this weekend. Its taken him 4 days just to strip the frame of un needed crap. I'm building a bender right now but all the steel for the build is sitting on the trailer already. Still waiting on the damn coilovers to show up too.

Have the motor bolted to the frame. Sits way low in it so some serious skid plating will be in order. No rake on the front of the frame but he's on a serious deadline so going with it. He's working on swapping hubs on the front 60 today and that will probably take him all day lol. No real fabbing has happened yet.

I quit updating this thread because my buddy was suppose to want a trail rig and once we started the suspension he changed his mind from watching west Georgia mud park vids and wanted a damn mud truck. I have only one pic of it slap together in about 2 months. The propane is awesome and the 454 sounds mean and runs strong. Still have a lot to add to cage and tube fenders to build but its pretty much done and he's happy. Need different rate coils also.
