I thought I'd put some pics up and do a little build thread on my Jeep project. TK, Phil and I have been working at this thing for a while now. The goal is to build a capable, stable wheeler that's low to the ground and fun as hell to drive.
Some of you ma know we started off with a YJ I already had and ended up buying another due to the frame condition once we got the under coat cleaned off. The new tub/frame is in a lot better shape.
This POS is gone
I just really started taking pics of the build. I wish I would have started earlier. Everything was stripped off the tub and the frame. We cleaned the frame down to bare metal and welded up all the unnecessary holes. The frame is cut and capped just behind the front seat area and ready to tube the rear portion of the frame.
Part's list so far:
LQ9 6.0 w/ Jim's Performance ECU/Harness
TH400 RMVB
ATLAS II 3.0
1410 Driveshafts
79 D60 Front Chromoly's and aftermarket knuckles, Lock Right locker
99 Ford Van Rear 60 with 35spline shafts and ARB
14" SAW Remote Res Coilovers @ all 4 corners
DE full hydraulic steering
Some Pics....
Motor going in
Floor pan had to be modified
Motor Mounts
Motor is high and tight
Getting front axle ready for new brackets
