drive by wire or cable

I've put a 5.3 in ol orange and just wondering if anyone has ever installed a throttle pedal that's drive by wire on a buggy .Or should I go with cable? I guess I'm worried about the elements getting to the pedal?I'm green about ls swaps

I had dbc Then went to dbw. Love dbw faster thorttle response and easier to fine tune had no issues with it yet I've ran it for about 8 months now have a buddy that's been running over 2yrs with no issues. There is a lot more buggies then you think with dbw

I have drive by wire in the 38 Special. Throttle is crisp without issue.

DBW here, too. I've had some minor little issues with it but nothing too difficult. Pretty satisfied.
