It's a regular rod end with a boot and cover.
Right, so now the only remaining difference is the "bolt" is still a seperate part of the assembly.

BTW, Heim is a brand. :flipoff: :stirpot:

Gravity, lack of power, the nearest immovable object, sunspots. :flipoff: If you wanna get technical... conversion of kinetic enegry into heat energy.

My junk doesn't yield. :flipoff:

Looks like a regular rod end, but with a "bolt" that has a large head with a seal to cover one side of the rod end, then a boot on the other side.

What would be the point of using those? You wouldnt mount the links single sheer the way those are made would you? Usually you use a full through bolt that goes through one tab, then the rod end, then another tab. If you run those the way they are set up, it would be a tab with the rod end coming off one side, not what I would use as a suspension link.

You can just get boot covers for regular rod ends and put them on both sides and accomplish basically the same thing with rod ends of choice.

You're absolutely right, looks like only single shear is possible with these. I'd like to see some pics of the components seperated. But if you look at their intended application, it appears to be nothing more than a ball joint replacement for an atv steering knuckle.

Yeah, like I said, it looks like theyre just a special "bolt" with a big head that seals to one side, and a retaining ring washer for the boot on the other, along with a spacer to keep from crushing it all like a TRE.
