Grooving TSLs

2012-04-08_18-55-50_872.jpg

I got the pattern idea from Tim Camerons Hell Raiser buggy, im pretty sure he pioneered that pattern cuz its the only other set ive seen like em...so go ahead and cut em up!

getting ready to aetna cut a set of 42" tsl's.......usually i use a torch to heat up a chisel and do it that way but wondering what you guys were using besides a groover to remove the large lugs? groover seem to work best on the smaller stuff. tires are basically brand new so there is alot of rubber to remove.

Way back when we sharpened a sawzall blade like a knife blade and used it, on the sawzall. Usually had to resharpen per tire.

I think aetna cut gives more traction but since they are essentially a paddle tire they dont have much latteral traction, i think thats why ya see alot of people run tenn. Cut on front and aetna on rear

started grooving the rears...doing aetna cut rear and tn cut front used a sawzaw and works great then go back with a groover and clean them up.. thumb.gif
