Issues w recent topics posted to being seen when logging in?

Usually when I log on I hit the view recent unread post since last visit and I see all the threads... But lately it's not showing anything and I tried changing my notifications but it just blows up my ****ing email... What did I do wrong ??? haha... I'm stumped
