I've been to a couple KOHs now and last time I went I promised myself I wasn't going back without my digger. So, this year I'm planning to make the trip out a week early, trailer my junk, ride and party all week, watch the race, then head back the next day. If anyone else has a similar plan let me know. It would be cool to have a good group to ride with.

Re: KOH 2013: Who is going to ride?

I'm going to do the same if my rig is done in time. KOH isn't near as fun when you don't have anything to wheel.

Re: KOH 2013: Who is going to ride?

Edit: Koh 2014

I'm more than likely going but prob won't have a rig yet? We usually leave Bama on Friday so we are there by Sunday!

Re: Re: KOH 2013: Who is going to ride?

I'd like to go and take a rig, but current financials would relegate me to be a spotter/beer fetcher/camp cook for someone else...

I'm planning on racing the Parker425 in Parker, AZ (2.5 hours straight east of Johnson Valley on the Colorado River) on that Saturday (Feb 1) before KOH with the new car. Then heading on to the lakebed on Sunday(Feb 2) and more or less dicking around all week, drinking beer, maybe do some prerunning, drink more beer. Pit for JabNasty in the UTV race (Feb 6), and then EzRick in the main (Feb 7).

If any of you die hards want to come watch Trophy Trucks and Class1's run in Parker. I wont be saying no to pit help. Tech on Friday (Jan 31) at the Blue Water Casino is pretty sick, like cubic $$$ puked up on a parking lot.
I'm not sure what class we'll be running, Class1, 4400 or Sportsman. Depends on entries in 4400, or chances of a rear start in Class1 or the much cheaper entry in sportsman....

Ill vouch for TBItoy in that he's good at all three of the aforementioned items.

Only problem is the 1:1 beers fetched/drank exchange rate. :drinkers:

Then "spotting" turns into standing at the top of the ledge waving 3 fingers hollering "3rd gear! C'mon!"

Lol

might be??? I was already counting on the P-town crew for the remote pits like we did in 2010.

I'm planning on being there with my rig again this year. The late night runs and watching the lights fly across the lakebed and dissapear into the hills is worth the drive alone! Last year we left Decatur AL Thursday night and pulled into Riverside CA early am Saturday morning to pick up the motorhome. We dropped it back off Saturday morning and pulled into my driveway late Sunday night.

We took I-10 out and back, several of our friends were stuck for hours on I-40 with snow and ice. We spent roughly $4k for three people but four could have gone for the same price. $1k a person for 10 days isn't bad at all.

Hey I'm game to remote pit for you as well in the Friday race. But you better secure a spot in Vegas! I'd come there as well if it werent for the 24 in Houston the same weekend.

I will be there with a rig. Even if I have to borrow a Rental Again! Might even be able to get the locals to show us the REAL Trails. Most everything they run in the race is a cake walk. I want to go see HWY 22, SOS, and all those other bamf trails.

Rental Fun from last year:
ROCK BOUNCER BACK DOOR NIGHT RAID!

I'd love to be another pit bitch, but won't have the vacation time this year seeing how I am starting over again after losing my job 6 months ago. :'(
