I've used a piece of 1"x3/16" bar and wrapped it around the leafs and spot welded the ends together.

x2... this seems to be the only thing that actually holds up.

You can also take two pieces of flatbar and drill 4 holes in them and bolt them on, i did my rears that way because i was changing up the spring pack alot
