Thought I'd share this since I haven't come across this on any other forum .

After my first KO'd driveshaft I searched for a " budget" strong shaft they doesn't have play and strong as hell

And this is what I came up with.
It's simply a tractor " bush hog" style slip shaft that's strong and durable.

I've got $100 wrapped up in it, besides the original shaft .

I did the same for a Toyota front long travel shaft about 5 years ago. It's still going strong! Had to change a u-joint, but that's about it!

Re: Re: My " tractor supply driveshaft"

I saw one of these about a yr ago in the clearance section or tsc. Shame I didn't have anything to use it on at the time.

Ran them for years in yotas. Tough as **** and plenty of travel. They kinda noisey when ridin down the trail but I never cared.

The reason is my shafts are beat to **** and have rock rash and bows in them and they vibrate like hell I was thinking of getting two of the female square parts and welding them together for more shaft surface area and then maybe squedule 40 or 80 pipe for the tube and then raise hell :dunno: I know they would be heavy that's why I haven't proceeded with the cobbling :****:
