Need some orbital info

I just went to full hydro with what I thought was the right orbital.
It is an Eaton 213-4045-002

When I mocked everything up it looked good. About 3.5-4 turn lock to lock on a 2x8 tractor supply ram. All pressure lines are 3/8" and using a 14" Derale single pass tube cooler. Stock 4.0 engine with a reman. stock TC pump.

I cranked it up for the 1st time last night & that's where I ran into problems. When turning everything works fine. As soon as I stop turning the steering wheel, the pump starts howling.

Do I have the wrong type orbital or is something else up with my system?

sounds like the tell-tale sign of a closed center orbital.

You need to convert it to open center or trade it to open center.

There was a write up on here recently with the exact same problem and solution, not sure what the title of the thread was though
