R-12 refrigerant?

Is there anyplace that can still charge an a/c system with R-12?

Most places can still do it, but R-12 is VERY expensive.

It depends what's wrong. If it JUST needs re-charge, NO component replacement, repairs, etc... R12 charge is still a viable option, AND it works better. If you're replacing anything and have the system apart anyways, then converting is the way to go.

r12 works better, if you just need a little to top it off, go for it.

if its empty/needs repairs etc, the 134 route is the way to go...

I am an hvacr tech, and i use hot shot. It's about 15% more $ than other referigerants, but works for r-134a too. If you were closer, I could help ya. Whatever you do though, pull a vacuum on the system before you charge it.:awesomework:
