I've never heard of one until you start trying to use them in 2" shafts with huge tires and tons of power. Even the 16-spline Ouverson chromo shafts seem to break before the stock u-joint.

That's the main reason I was curious...I was wondering if stock joints would hold in the big shafts but Randy said I needed to order his violater joints to have warranty on the shafts so that's the route I went. Thxs for the info.

I'm installing a BTF rockwell diff pan. It is off set 1/2 inch to one side. I'm having trouble figuring out if it matters wich way to off set it.
I installed it short side of the pan toward the short side of axle / toward the pinion. Which seems to clear.
However when I flipped axle the reliefe cuts in axle for the bull gear seem to be on the long side of axle/ away from pinion.
Any thoughts?
 
I have the same diff pans, when I did my rear axle I did it after flipping the chunk, I test fit the chunk with the bottom cut off to make sure it was going to clear. slap the chunk back in and make sure it clears before you burn it home.
