Wow that thing is Badass! looking back on your posts, if your 6'ft you might want to think about selling those kid seats and getting something made for your height like a PRP with extra heigh added. I know your probably gonna be beating on this thing pretty hard and the last thing you will want is to hurt your back from the harnesses coming out to low on your seat.

yea i have considered swapping seats, i got a deal i couldn't pass up on these over a year ago. I didn't know they would be as small as they are. I am 6' but i have a short torso i had the harness temp mounted and all strapped in it seemed to barely fit me properly. At the same time i have to consider my soon to be wife fits absolutely perfect in the these seats.

freakin awesome build man looks great, just curios why you mounted the winch where you did? any particular reason?

The winch is mounted where the driver can engage and disengage the clutch, also roll up the winch rope neatly. only thing any one has to do from outside is pull the rope.

it also keeps the front nice and tight. the rope runs right over the driver shaft tunnel and is out of the way. the battery is atop the front diff where the winch would normally be.

then it was time to plate and gusset what was needed.

this is to prevent anything like this from ever happening to my chassis. it may be over kill but id rather build it once and be safe.

3/16" plate was used to create this.

Then a friend came over and helped me handle the 4x12 sheet of .125 6061 t6 that i cut the skid plate backing panels out of. The entire bottom will be covered in 1/2" thick hdpe.

got all my mount tabs done yesterday, and today to started on putting the plastic on each piece.

the panels are .125" 6061 T6 aluminum and the plastic is 1/2" black virgin HDPE. The aluminum panels are bolted to the chassis. The plastic is attached to the aluminum with a grid of screws from the back side. Button heads screws are used where they could be and countersunk screws were used where the panels go over plated areas.

the going theme is that it is over built for a rzr and i didn't skimp on the skid plates.

My rig had the same seats when I bought it, switched them out to PRP's with +4 height (I'm 6' and wear 32 pants). Best thing I have ever done, they are stupid comfy and your head actually gets to rest on something. They are big on shorter people but the harnesses come right out where there suppose to

Also if you notice in that 2nd picture the upper arms were cut, double bolted, and plated in at the frame.

All it takes is 30 seconds with my band saw and I can make any off the shelf arms fit.

here is when i rolled it outside a couple days ago.

got it close to ready to go, just needs all serviced up on fluids tomorrow, battery hold down, and mounting the dash. Then i can give it a first test drive around the yard. Then ill get the drive shaft tunnel, door bars and remaining tubes, then get started on the rest of panels and tabs.
