So, I did the deed, and stopped by Randy's R&P today and got my new gearset and master. I noticed when I got home that the install kit says "85 and older" on the box... WTF? My truck is a '91, but who the hell knows what year the diff is? I just bought a complete diff used, plugged it in, and played until I broke a few teeth.
Is there really a difference between the "85 and older" or the "85 and newer" kits? I checked the website, and they do in fact sell two different kits, both with different part numbers for each...!
Thanks ahead of time.
