Anyone tow without trailer brakes?
I normally use them but my dad robbed the trailer brake controller for his motorhome.
Its a 2007 K2500 Silverado towing roughly 5000 lbs jeep and trailer.
Should it be fine for one trip or is it dangerous?

Ask your self what a liability law suit is worth and ask yourself that question again.

Thanks, I thought it probably wasn't wise.
I'll grab another controller tomorrow.

Last time I towed a rig without trailer brakes I had a a freak accident occur that damn near killed my girlfriend at the time. The wheel studs broke on the right rear of the tow vehicle and IF i Would Have Had trailer brakes I could have hit them and stopped safely, instead we did a 180 in the middle of the road, barrel rolled the trailer and flipped the tow rig on its side slamming into a tree on the oppisite side of the highway hard enough to bend the frame into a U.

NOT WORTH THE RISK, to make a long story short.:puke:

nope he lost his whole hitch...

And you should just steal the brake controler back from your dad I mean jeeze he can afford to get his own damn controler
