Sold/Expired VW transmission for Rabbit

I know it's a long shot, but I need a manual transmission in good running order for an 81 VW rabbit pickup truck.
Closer to Birmingham the better.

What kind of trans does it use? I have a 3 rib bus trans from when I had a vw rail? If that help any not very sure on that stuff.

I have no idea, i need to pull it in the shop and figure that out. Was kinda hoping somebody knew and had one.

Its not the same. I cant remember the code\ number but they use the later trans that came in the golf or jetta.
