I'm quite jealous of you! Maybe next year we will try to convey out there for the week.

Based on BustedKnuckels email, looks like they are towing a southern buggy out there. Who's is it?

Its one of the favorites :dblthumb:

Old yeller is going. I'm welling to bet its one of the most wheeled buggies in the south. Its got more miles then a lot of tow rigs have. :****:

Trying to finish up getting everything ready to head out next thur. afternoon from Nashville Tn.!!! Who all is still going and when wwill you get there?

We are leaving Decatur, AL Thursday evening. Picking the motorhome up in Riverside, CA Saturday by 12..... I think we are going I-20 to I-10 to avoid any possibly weather problems out west.... The joys of pulling with a 2wd. :driving:

where is everybody flying into for the KOH
I'm flying into Ontario, Ca. There may be one closer but it's the closest to my buddy's house out there. Around 2 hour drive if I remember right.

I'd like to go. I'm supposed to be volunteering again this year but have no way of getting out there..

Someone please give me a ride out there!! Please. I'll pay you and have all my camping gear ready..

My truck hates me! Only a few hours away!

Main race course announced

Where is everyone planning on watching the race? For those that haven't been chocolate thunder and back door will have tons of spectators making it hard to see anything. Last year we went out to wrecking ball for most of the day. Not many people were out there and the lack of event staff made it even better. Might try somewhere else this year if it's accessible for our ride.

Hows the petrol bill so far? lol Safe travels ;)

Not too bad.. Rolling heavy with one hell of a head wind we are still in track for about $700 each way. Not too bad

I will say I would throw a couple hundred to someone if they could haul my buggy back to AL.... 12' long, 2700 lbs just in case :driving:

Some fuel price post would be awesome! Or it can just be a suprise too me :afro:

Taking the southern route...I-10. Diesel was $3.75 to $4.29 from what I remember.. Not many cheaper but many a lot higher. Of course the gas station in the middle of nowhere costs a lot more

It was worth the drive and every penny spent and we have only been on the lake bed for the evening! Can't wait for the LCQ and the big race
