Why does my Silverado keep fixing itself?

That vent solenoid isn't hard to replace. Did mine on my old half ton. I guess it's common to go out, especially if you like to keep trying to top off your tank when you're pumping gas.

Had one of these trucks for 220k. Did same thing. Took evap canister off/apart, blew a ton of dust out of it at about 100k. G.M. tech, told me if you fill tank while it's running, or leave key on while filling tank it will set the code too. Fixed mine.
 
Take the gas cap off, park a ford there and reinstall the gas cap. Check engine light will go away, and you'll have a better quality vehicle with more power. :flipoff1:
